She was working on styling & costume designing a show I was performing in that involved an insane amount of creativity, commitment, detail, & loads of work. “After selecting a wedding date, our next task was to select our wedding ceremony clothes! We wanted our attire to reflect our heritage, African and Indian, and after selecting a few inspiration pictures, we began our hunt for a designer.
Stephanie was the best out of the bunch we contacted, and she happily joined us in Downtown Los Angeles’ Fashion District to pick out the fabric. Of course, there were so many to choose from, but with her input, we selected the most amazing fabrics. She knew how much fabric we would both need, and helped us select some trimmings, which she further customized for Manwe’s cape.
I forgot to mention - we got married in Cancun, and Stephanie was very mindful of the fabric choices we were making, including breathable fabrics for our tunics, and comfortable lining.
We had 2 or 3 fittings; each time, she was prepared to make adjustments & even modified my collar since our original design didn’t take with my fabric choices.
We received a multitude of compliments on her work, and couldn’t be happier. Stephanie made our special day even more special with custom attire that reflected our individual heritage and our union at the same time.
